Dear Prayer Partners,

Thank you so much for your faithful prayers as I have been back in the US on furlough.  The Lord has brought me safely through many miles.  It has been so good to see all the folks at my supporting churches and share with them the wonderful things God has done and is doing in northern Queensland.

Please pray as I wrap up the final month or so of my time in the States.  Lord willing, I fly out of Norfolk, Virginia, on May 23.  Between then and now, I have a long trek out to Colorado and back.  I would greatly appreciate your prayers as I undertake that long journey.

Please also be in prayer for me as I work through all the arrangements of settling in back at home in Australia.  There is a possibility of a place in town that is within my budget, but the details are complicated.  If this particular place does work out, it will clearly be by the hand of God alone.  I know God delights in showing Himself mighty on behalf of His people, so I am continuing to pray and ask that you would do the same.  I will also need to purchase a car soon after my arrival in Ingham and work through a number of other issues that come with shifting from one country to another.  Please pray for me that I would clearly follow the Lord’s guidance as I work through all of the details.

I praise the Lord for some increase in support that has come in during my furlough, but I do covet your prayers for God to continue to meet my financial needs.  With the drop in the value of the US dollar and the increase in expenses that would come with living in town, humanly speaking, I need more than I presently have.  Please do pray that God would show me exactly what He wants me to do upon my return to Australia and how He will meet the needs that I encounter there.

I have had good reports on the progress of the building projects at camp.  The Teens in Training building is nearly completed.  There was a bit of a snag in some of the plumbing work that delayed things on the building for a while.  But the problem has been identified, and work should be able to progress again soon.  The addition to the one side of the Blakes’ cottage has been fully completed and looks great.  (I can hardly wait to get back and see it!)  The office and guest suite on the other side is almost done, with just a few little things here and there left to be completed.

I am truly looking forward to returning to my church and ministries in Ingham.  Please pray for a good transition back into the religious education classes, school teaching, etc., there.  And please pray for Tana Gills as well.  She has done a fantastic job of “filling in” for me while I have been away.  She now faces some decisions of her own as she seeks the Lord’s will regarding future ministry.

In His service,

Jodie Clark
